agentlytics vs Matomo
Last checked October 4, 2026. A full analytics suite versus a deliberately small one.
The short version
Matomo is an open-source analytics platform, available as a hosted cloud service or self-hosted, with a broad feature set that includes heatmaps, session recordings and tag management in some editions.
agentlytics (measuremy.site) is cookieless analytics for websites and the AI agents that grow them: one script tag, one dashboard, and an MCP server so Claude Code, Cursor or Codex can read your traffic, funnels and campaign results.

Choose Matomo if

- You need to own your data on your own servers

- You want your coding agent to read the numbers
Our take
Matomo and agentlytics sit at opposite ends. Matomo gives you a lot of control and a lot to look after. agentlytics gives you a short list of answers and nothing to run. Choose by how much analytics you actually want to manage.
Questions
Is agentlytics as powerful as Matomo?
No, and it isn't trying to be. It covers the questions most small sites ask and leaves out heatmaps, recordings and tag management.
