Where the numbers come from
The rank comes from Cloudflare Radar, which ranks domains by how many people look them up through Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 DNS resolver, one of the most used in the world. The top 100 get an exact position; after that, Radar places a site in a band such as "top 10,000" or "top 1,000,000".
The monthly visits figure is our estimate from that rank, using the way traffic falls off down the list: roughly 3 million visits a month around rank 10,000 and 30,000 around rank 1,000,000. It's a range, not a measurement. Treat it as "how big, roughly", and expect it to be off by 2x or more for any one site.
Why ranks and visits don't always match
- DNS lookups count apps and devices, not only browsers, so API and CDN domains can rank higher than their websites.
- Sites popular in one country rank lower worldwide than their local fame suggests; the country table shows where they do best.
- Sites below the top 1,000,000 aren't ranked, which covers most small business sites.

Questions
How accurate is the traffic estimate?
It's a rough range. Every traffic estimator, including the big paid ones, models visits from samples; ours uses Cloudflare's global popularity rank. Use it to compare sizes, not to quote exact numbers.
Why is my site not ranked?
Radar ranks the top 1,000,000 domains. Most small sites are below that. Install analytics to get real numbers for your own site.
How often is the data updated?
Radar updates its ranking daily; we keep each lookup for up to a week.
Is there a limit?
Recently checked domains always work. Fresh lookups are capped each month to keep the tool free; if the cap is reached, new domains can be checked again from the 1st.
