Visitor counter by country
Add a free visitor counter to your website, blog or GitHub README that shows how many people visited and which countries they came from. No signup, no cookies.
How it counts
The counter is an image. Each time a page with the counter loads, the visitor's country (from Cloudflare's network) gets one more visit. A visitor counts once a day, recognised by a one-way hash of their IP address and browser that changes every day. No cookies are set and no IP addresses are stored, so you don't need a cookie banner for it.
Bots, crawlers and link previews aren't counted. The image is served with no caching so every load is seen, including in GitHub READMEs.
Where you can use it
- Websites and blogs: paste the HTML anywhere in the page.
- GitHub READMEs and profiles: use the Markdown version.
- Notion, forums and anywhere else that shows images from a link.
When a counter isn't enough
A counter tells you how many and from where. To see which pages people read, which links brought them and who signed up, use measuremy.site: the same no-cookie approach, with a full dashboard your AI agent can read.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. There's no signup and no limit on views.
Does it work on GitHub?
Yes. Use the Markdown snippet in your README. GitHub loads images through its own proxy, so visitors from GitHub may show up as one country less precisely than on a website.
Can I reset or delete a counter?
Make a new counter and swap the snippet. Counters that are never loaded don't count against anything.
Is the stats page public?
Yes, like other free counters: anyone who clicks the counter sees the country list. It shows only countries and counts.
